Color poured a super pale, hazy light yellow, and had a very tight leveled out type of lacing just above the white head. Smells of zesty lemon and some spice, very clean and crispy. Taste is much like Belgian witbeir, very spritzy, lemon is sharply toned with a spicyness mixed in that blended well. It's mostly lemony then anything, imagine a Sprite or 7up with three times the lemon and add some wheat and yeast and wham-o, you've got this Oberon. I've had it in the bottle before, but on tap is so much more yeasty fresh then from the bottle. Super drinkable and highly recommended for quenching thirst on warm to hot days in summer.

my favorite american wheat beer; i usually have it on tap. pours cloudy orange yellow with sediment and a sizeable head. has a playful aroma of citrus and spice. oberon is more full bodied than most wheat beers, with orange and citrus notes, wheat, decent malt and hops, and a dry finish. some places will serve it with a slice of orange, in my opinion it’s much better on its own.

UPDATED: JUL 15, 2005 A great wheat beer by the fine folks at Kalamazoo. Have they made a bad beer yet? This pours a smooth light orange color with a little cloud to it. A slight citrus aroma with a small light head. The taste is very smooth with a pleasant spiced finish. This is a great summer time beer.

This is an old standby now. Brewed only in the summer, and there is a reson for it... it is a very summer brew! Your bananna/coriander american-style wheat with a kick of citrus. Way to fun... I drink about 3 dozen of these each summer. It is hard to avoid in Michigan.

Bottle. Golden amber color, average head. Average beer aroma. Flavor is very smooth, a good barley and wheat taste and nice hop flavor. Touch of lemon. Just plain and simple, a pleasant beer.

12oz bottle. Batch 7526. Unfiltered and hazy. Deep golden hue with a mild amount of sediment. Bready yeasty nose. Orange citrus with a touch of caramel. Medium and lively. Grainy and bready. Very nice. Delicious, with spicy peppery hops. One of my all time favorite wheats!

Day-old mini keg / 19 Aug 08
Light grainy aroma with hints of spicy hops
Golden, a bit hazy, white head with good retention
Bready malt flavor with spices, light spicy/citrusy hop flavor with a light bitterness
Light body, light carb (might be the day-old keg)
Very tasty and refreshing American Wheat beer. The spiciness and malty character blend nicely to make for a tasty treat
