COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
An American wheat ale made with European ingredients. Belgium wheat malt and Czech Saaz hops provide a spicy, fruity balance to this seasonal ale. (Formerly known as Solsun)

Hazy orange in color. It had the smell of ice tea. It is definitely not filtered too well as you can see the chunks in it. It was very smooth with no harsh taste at all. A very good wheat beer. I would like to try this on a hot day I bet it would hit the spot.

UPDATED: MAY 9, 2003 Bright orange-yellowish color with small suspended yeast particles floating around, has a small white head that doesn't last, light citrus aroma, light bready, malty flavors it leaves a flowery aftertaste. It has a very creamy and full mouthfeel, not as spicy and fruity as I remember, still very enjoyable and refreshing.

Ah yes, the arrival of Oberon means summer is right around the corner. An excellent wheat beer, with hints of citurs flavor and hops. a great summer brew

UPDATED: FEB 21, 2007 This beer is probably the most popular micro brewed in Michigan, and deservedly so. Only available in the summer time, this seasonality adds to it’s mystique. Good for Bells, they have managed to somehow create a "Michigan Summer" for the masses to enjoy!!

A bit different than your typical wheat. Gold/copper colored, very nice hoppiness, not overpowering at all, but refreshing. Citrus flavor for once is faint, unlike many other wheats. It drinks very easily, and is quite a good change of pace amongst wheat beers! A winner from a great brewery!

Not as much head as a lot of a head as I was expecting, but it does have a nice dark apricot color. The first aroma and flavor that you pick up is apricot. A good bit of it. That’s followed by the expected wheaty and malty flavors that start to dominate towards the middle of the glass. Some citric crispness is present througout. Very little bitterness or hop characteristics are present. This is an awesome wheat beer. Just so everyone knows, Hennes is a great big bastard. He gives me this stuff (and an Expedition Stout) and expects me not to get jealous of him being able to have easy access to this stuff.

Oberon is so good. reminds me of my summers when I was still in high school. Me and my friends would drink this stuff 3 or 4 times a week. Its best when poured in a cold glass & you should also stir all the sediment into the beer. It adds cloudy white goodness. This beer tastes kinda like sweet bread. The bells yeast is so tasty. It also has slight citus notes. This isa great warm weather beer.

Poured a cloudy, golden body with a quickly dissipating white head. Some lacing.
Very malty and wheaty. Lots of yeast too.
Very subtle wheat taste with the perfectly balanced hop bite of the Saaz. Some yeastiness in the flavor.
Very drinkable beer.
