COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
An American wheat ale made with European ingredients. Belgium wheat malt and Czech Saaz hops provide a spicy, fruity balance to this seasonal ale. (Formerly known as Solsun)

UPDATED: SEP 30, 2005 A very high quality, rich, slightly sweet, cloudy, wheat beer. It reminds me of Blue Moon, only much richer, and with much more character.

Had this beer on draught. Visually this is a most unique beer. It is by far the cloudiest beer this beer drinker has ever encountered. Made for a great presentation. Also drank quite well. Great flavor and aroma made for a truly pleasant drinking experience.

A nice cloudy orange color. A sweet, fruity aroma present. There is a noticeable bitterness this year, also oranges, coriander. Malt and wheat characteristics similar to American West Wheat Beers. I like Oberon but for some reason I enjoyed last year’s bottling a lot more than I do this year. Had on tap a couple times since my last rating...so refreshing. Good balance that I really enjoy.

Stone is definitely one of my favorite american breweries. Great flavorful summer ale.

UPDATED: DEC 5, 2004 Bright ,thick, cloudy yellow with a medium head (off tap). Nose is wheat, passion fruit, lighter citrus, maybe papaya. Pleasure on the palate, super refreshing, perfect amount of carbonation. Taste begins with strong wheat and bready notes and bursts into citrus and light tropical fruit flavors with slight alcohol presence in the abrupt saaz hop end. From the big sun tapper, it is a perfect refresher and can go head to head with the best American saisons and the lighter American wheat ales!

This is my favorite summer beer. Refreshing taste without being ’sour’ like other wheats i’ve had.

This is a great beer, but perhaps a bit too wheat tasting. I guess that’s the point, though, and it still tastes great.

Full lemon flavor; cloudy, mellow gold as most great wheat beers are... prominent yeast flavor, which brings out the lemon, citrus qualities, quite malty and a touch of hoppiness... nice finish and quite refreshing, drinkable, and good. Not the biggest fan of wheats, but this one ain’t bad.
