Aroma is very yeasty, like a Belgian white. Appearance is perfectly golden, with a nice thick, white head that lingers. A hint of spice, with fruit and wheat. A hint of caramel as well. I’ve had a lot of wheated summer beers, and this one is my all-time favorite. Much more flavorful and full-bodied than what you typically get from this style of beer.

Drank this over at The B.O.B. in Grand Rapids MI. On tap, served with an orange wedge. It was a few hours ago and I had quite a few but damn if I didn’t like them a lot. (on tap)

Oberon poured a very hazy/cloudy yellow gold with a nice white head with fine bubbles. It had a wheaty, citrusy aroma. It had a nice slight citrus taste with a hoppy finish. Wheat beers are normally my favorites, but this is a good specimen.

UPDATED: MAY 30, 2006 almost no aroma at all. extremely flavorful for an american wheat. very good. a little bitterness. reddish, clear. boy my notes for that one sucked, eh. RERATE. what the fuck was i talking about with my first rating? it’s not clear, it’s a wheat and it’s totally opaque orange. it’s a beautiful beer, though the head was uglyish. 2 fingers or so worth. my friend got a quarter barrel of this. so good. orange (blasphemy) actually complemented it quite well.
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Crockett (916) - Steelback County, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 3, 2004
Pours light cloudy gold with a tiny small beaded head. Aroma of barnyard, yeast and grain with some citrus and spice. Very lively mouthfeel. Peachy with mild caramel, vanilla, caramel and chocolate. Biscuity malts. Very clean tasting for something with so much junk floating around in it. Finishes dry and peppery. Alcohol is barely noticeable.

Bottle. Pours a murky amber, thin white head, quick to dissipate. Aroma is a pleasant combination of malt and peach/citrus fruits. Taste is creamy fruits, bread, and pleasantly bittersweet hops. Very balanced and complete ale.
