An American wheat ale made with European ingredients. Belgium wheat malt and Czech Saaz hops provide a spicy, fruity balance to this seasonal ale. (Formerly known as Solsun)

On the pour, a magnificently chill hazed golden yellow color, the head is mountainous in size, creamy in consistency, and as it erodes, the lace left behind is a fine cover upon the glass. The aroma of yeast, orange peels, sweet malt, quite a treat for this old nose. Sweet with lots of malt, the top middling in feel to the palate, finish has a moderate acidity, the hops spicy in their persistent bite, dry as a desert bone aftertaste, quite a nice beer.

this is the best american version of a wheat beer that i’ve tried (so far--no doubt i have many more to try) it really isn’t comparable to a german hefe, but it is so much better than all of the blander american versions....great mouthful of flavor. a bit sweet but has just the right hop balance to offset the sweetness.

Many say this is the worst of the Kazoo. line. If thats the case, they are brewing some of the best beer in the world.

OK, I’m drinking this summer brew in mid-February, and you know what? It’s good, regardless of the lack of political correctness. It’s got hops, yeast, a nice deep honey color and it leaves a lasting impression on the mid-palate. Can’t wait to try the new batch this summer.

Cloudy with lots of yeast floating in a medium golden, honey colored beer with an white head that is retained. Aroma is quite sweet with expected wheat aroma, but not the banana and clove I look for. Flavor is quite tasty and mouthfeel is creamy in a good way. One of the really good summer beers.

Loaded with hops as are most beers from this brewery.. Nice body and full of flavor- yeasty, orangey. Remarkably smooth.

This is my first venture into the Bell’s line and I will be going deeper after this. Nice and crisp with more hops than I expected. Way drinkable.
