durhambeer (535), Durham, USA Apr 12, 2008 Updated: Jun 27, 2008 This is a lovely summer brew. Not sure why I didn’t drink more of it last year. I wonder if others hold it in too high esteem, expecting more from Bell’s. It is, after all, just a wheat beer. But no need to cover this sucker up with orange or lemon, though I’m sure an orange would be nice if that’s your thing. Tastes lovely on its own. Bright orange-gold pour, generous head. Flavors and aromas of orange, yeast, a little zest and minimal spice. In a word, refreshing.
Monger (473), Roscoe, Illinois, USA Oct 10, 2008 Bottle. Pours a medium hazy golden color with a nice fluffy white head.Aroma of wheat, light clove and citrus. Tastes of wheat, oranges, light hops and spices. Has a semi sweet refreshing very satisfying finish. Excellent brew!
Magic_dave6 (4012), London, Greater London, England Oct 7, 2008 Bottle at chris_o’s pre beerexposed tasting. Alround rating: Fruity, tropical fruit, tangerine, theres a decent amount of wheat which is a bit thin and very much american wheat like, but still quite good. Take out the wheat and iv no doubt this would be awsome. Uaru02 (14), Simpsonville, Kentucky, USA Oct 5, 2008 A very good beer. Very smooth with a perfect balance. A great ale for summer or anytime really. fiulijn (5880), Como; Lausanne (CH); Malmö (SWE), Italy Oct 5, 2008 Draught at Old Dominion Brewhouse, Washington DC Blond color. Light aroma. Medium bodied, with some malt flavor and correct bitterness. Not exciting, but drinkable. BlackForestCO (549), Fort Collins and Black Forest, Colorado, USA Oct 2, 2008 Bottle from MrChopin, thanks man! Poured a hazy orange-yellow color with a thick white head that stuck around nicely and left some spotty lacing. Spicy aroma of wheat with some soft orange peel, light lemon, and a bit of yeastiness. Crisp, lightly spicy entry leads into some fresh wheat and a bit of smooth orange and just a hint of floral hoppiness. Crisp on the palate with soft carbonation. Nice wheat.
