3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
12 oz. bottle from A Southern Season
Ar: Tangy lemon and wheat up front, a bit of peach.
Ap: Pours a slightly hazy light orange-straw. 1" head dissipates pretty quickly but leaves very good lace.
T: Very little malt sweetness, with a proper tartness on the finish throughout the mouth.
P: Medium body, a bit thicker than I expect from a wheat ale.
O: Good beer, but not as good as Gumballhead. Still one of the better wheats I can get in Chapel Hill.

Pours a nearly clear golden color with very small particles of vegetable matter suspended in the liquid. A one finger white head rises, then falls just as quickly. Moderately perfumy orange and some notes of moldy yeast. Smooth, slick texture with some mild to moderate scrub. A little bit of funky yeast to go with a watered down Tang orange flavor. Pleasant.

Pours out a light orange color. Nice aroma that has some spice too it. Overall this is an enjoyable session beer. Light bodied and great for the summer or year round if you live in Florida.

Everything an American beer should be. Fantastic aroma, perfect color for pale. Smooth taste hides ABV. The best quality over price.

Bells Oberon Ale is a wheat with character. Moderate orange aroma coming from clear orange pour with a nice frothy head. Taste is yeasty with a definite orange flavor. The swallow is fizzy but not unpleasant. Oberon is one of the better American wheat beers Iíve had with original character.

Good for a wheat ale. Spicier than most but an overall thin body. Mouthfeel is slick.

12oz bottle into tulip. Traverse city.
Appearance: cloudy orange liquid with a white puffy head with good retention.
Aroma: citrus, wheat, some yeast, alcohol.
Taste: slightly sweet an a little bitter
Palate: thin body. Oily texture. Short finish.
Overall: refreshing, but not super interesting. Lacks the body of a good wheat ale. Yeast is not as present as I would have preferred.

From bottle to glass at room temp. Cloudy orange with some sediment. Light citrus wheat beer. Easy drinker, but a big fan of wheat beers.
