Draft. Amber color with a medium head. Cereal and caramel and some hops. Tastes like a slightly spiced version of their amber.

On draft at Bilbo Baggins in Alexandria.
The beer is nearly clear, and appears light orange in color. The head is thick and frothy, measuring a little over an inch thick. The aroma is somewhat muted and weak, though I have yet to experience a really assertive, bold aroma from a beer of this ilk. The flavor is nice, with a strong malt and grain presence, followed by a light dose of pleasant spices. Great feel on the palate. I could throw back a few pints of this. I would have this again.

Draft from Proof. Deep golden pour with a small white head. Aroma is typical German maltiness with touches of honey. Flavor is the same with a medium thick body and a quick slightly bitter finish. Another run of the mill Oktoberfest.

Sample at Snallygaster DC event on October 13th, 2012. I’ve had this before, but never rated. A good example of the style, sweet but not overbearing, and balanced that some American oktoberfests tend to not have.

Medium amber/orange hazy pour. Head was thick and reminiscent of Guinness' and a quarter inch thick. Sour wheaty scent. Flavor is spicy but not too strong. Taste opens up to lactose, caramel, nutmeg, cinnamon and is a little sour. Finish is slightly bitter and spicy.

Draught. Pours a clear copper color with a moderate head. Light and slightly malty aroma. Not a lot of flavor, but it is a subtle oktoberfest, which I like.

Draft at The Oak Cafe. Pours a golden light orange-yellow color with nice amount of head that lingers a bit. Aroma is faint and underwhelming. Smells like a pale lager, a bit of malt and noble hops. Taste is the same. Maybe just a slight caramel malt taste but its very faint. This beer doesn’t seem like an Octoberfest at all. I’m wondering if I got poured the wrong beer. Pretty bland, tastes pretty much like a bland pale lager.
