Clear, light amber body with a thick, lasting white head. Sweet, inviting aroma with notes of caramel, malt, and a touch of earth. Smooth, sweet, and delicious! Caramel and malty sweetness up front fades only slightly to a mild alcohol warming. Finishes smooth. Nice.

12 ounce bottle into signature pint glass, bottled on 8/15/2016. Pours fairly crystal clear orange/copper color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense off white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty lacing clings down the glass. Aromas of cracker, toasted biscuit, light caramel/nuttiness, herbal, grass, light pepper, and herbal/toasted earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance of bready malts and light-moderate earthy hop notes; with solid strength. Taste of cracker, toasted biscuit, light caramel/nuttiness, herbal, grass, light pepper, and herbal/toasted earthiness. Light herbal/spicy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of cracker, toasted biscuit, light nuttiness, pepper, and herbal/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice robustness and balance of bready malt and light-moderate earthy hop flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Slightly drying from bitterness as well. Very clean on lager flavors with zero yeast ester notes present. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, fairly creamy/grainy, and slightly sticky mouthfeel that is nice. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 5.5%. Overall this is a very nice Oktoberfest. All around nice robustness and balance of bready malt and light-moderate earthy hop flavors; very smooth and easy to drink. A very enjoyable offering.

Pours orange-amber with a thick off white head. Aroma is mild bready yeast and spicy black pepper - there’s a seltzer water aroma too, hmm. Taste is a nicely rounded sweet buscuit with a very mellow German hop bitterness. Not bad.

Where: The Big Stick, Navy Yard DC. How: Pint draft pour. Appearance: Nice amber color with ruby highlights. Aroma: Alcohol, not much to note. Taste: Typical caramel toasted barley malt, not much else. Palate: Medium bodied with average carbonation. Overall: I’m afraid I’ve come to expect more from Bells but this is just an average attempt to me. Bit boring.

on tap @ Party Town (Friday Night Flights) / Florence KY --- Clear bright copper amber color, bubbly white head, stripes of lace. Taste is malt and toffee that adds mild fizz on the swallow, then ushers in enough hops for a balanced finish, with both malt and hops maintaining a presence. Not a lot of body, but what there is, is good.

On tap at Brewhouse Gallery. Served in a pint glass. Light amber body. Medium white head. Smells bready and a little fruity. Taste is very bready, pushing into flavors of sweet caramel. Mild toastiness and astringency in the finish. Medium body. Well carbonated. Nothing amazing, but pretty drinkable.
