Clear, light amber body with a thick, lasting white head. Sweet, inviting aroma with notes of caramel, malt, and a touch of earth. Smooth, sweet, and delicious! Caramel and malty sweetness up front fades only slightly to a mild alcohol warming. Finishes smooth. Nice.

Bottle: Clear, light amber with a small white head. Caramel, honey, grain scent. Taste is straw, toffee malt, chalk, honey.... Really light bodied..... Ok, but a little on the bland and weak side.

Bottle. Pours a copper color with white head. Bread, caramel, malty, slight metallic aromas. Bread, malty, biscuit, malty flavors. Fifth best of seven beer oktoberfest blind tasting. Still pretty decent.

Bottled. Clear orange amber pour. Caramel malts and bread. Not too heavy. Pretty nice example of the style.

Sixer with Boo; from Liquor Barn (Jefferson Commons); bottled on 8/12/16. Aroma: Lightly sweet bread with a touch of spiciness. Appearance: Coppered gold with soft carbonation holding up a sticky white head that settles into a patchy ring. Flavor: Caramel glazed bread up front; noble hops do more to reveal dryness than to provide bitterness; the finish is off-dry and barely bitter. Palate: Medium body, sticky texture, soft carbonation abrupt finish. Overall: Not noteworthy in any one category, especially among American takes on the style. Has an initial caramel sweetness not found in the better European examples.

Pours clear amber with a one finger off white head with some lacing. Aroma is of bready malts, caramel, sweet malts, nutty malts, light grassy hops, and light earthy hops. Taste is about the same as the aroma. Has a semi creamy mouthfeel with a slightly bitter, medium finish. Overall, a decently tasty beer that is easy drinking and pretty good for the style.

Clear golden orange.Thick collar of foam holds well. Quiet but polished and focused nose of honeyed baguette, almond skin, apricot, hay and toasted cracker. Subtle note of paper and DMS. Firm, snug carbonation. Honey- and apricot-kissed sugars are cleansed by a firm toasty dryness and a tickle of floral, gently spicy hops. Mild saccharine notes and a tinge of papery lifelessness hinder the otherwise rich, well-extracted maltiness. Just enough succulence to the grain to induce a tongue-smack. Buried note of DMS sneaks its way into the mix, but there’s plenty of snappiness to keep it from hanging around. Sturdy malt structure is enhanced by a well-lagered fullness and mostly clean fermentation which underscores its deceptive weight. Big Munich punch and honeyed baguette anchor the haylike accents and spicy-herbal (fennel seed) hop scratch in the well-balanced finish. A few blemishes here and there, but it’s fairly clean and the balance is nicely executed. Not quite good enough to unseat Sierra Nevada’s version as my go-to autumnal lager, but it’s not far behind. Could be better, could be worse.

On tap at Hopcat. Slightly sweet aroma. Pours a beautiful Amber. Looks like fall itself. Mostly malt with a good bitter backbone. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

It's common yet tasty marzen beer. Light on the malt and hops. I find this a distracting drinking beer ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
