Cloudy, light caramel color. Decent white head that lasted a good while. Hoppy flavor, not too bitter. Not quite as good as the summer Oberon Ale.

As good as Bells ales are, I’ve had plenty of better Pales, but still worth drinking.

I guess the monk on the bottle should have given me a clue. This is more complex than most pale ales. Richer, fuller, better. It has a really great balance of malt and hops. A solid amount of carbonation too.

Nice pale ale, would prefer a bit more hoppy, but for michigan pale’s I would suggest to go with the founders dry-hopped, if you like em hoppy.

A light flavored ale thats not as sweet as I expected. Nice color and aroma. The aftertaste is not the best but overall its a good ale.

Very good pale ale. Hits the toungue lightly and leaves a great taste.

By bottle or keg, this is a smooth beer, great for sharing. Shared a keg with several hundred in a multi-cultural setting and it was well received by all.

UPDATED: JAN 21, 2004 ReRate-Had a few bottles of this when i was back home for christmas. this is a very nice pale-nice citrus/orange notes similar to Two hearted, but with a spicyness made via Saaz hops. I really enjoyed this brew while i was home. I would like to get more in trade now
