A refreshing, blond colored pale ale. Bell’s pale ale is made almost exclusively from pale malt. It expresses a spicy floral hop aroma and taste.

PKGD 10/27/12.Pretty fresh. Hazy pour with tiny suspended yeast bits, dullish gold.Frothy short head. Aroma is floral, a stronger spice, grainy with a citrus tone like a little orange maybe slight lemon. Yeast breadiness. Taste is a light carmel with sweet bread and a spicey citrus floral hop flavor and sort of piney/grapefruit? but grassybittering. Pretty grassy in overall taste also. Dry bitter finish. LIngering grapefruit bitter.

12 oz bottle: Straw blonde color. Grainy, hay, sweet corn aroma. On the palate it reminds me of a pilsner or a crisper Kölsch with an unexpectedly robust hop bitterness. Some nice ester-y complexity in the finish. Not your typical pale ale - a nice summer brewski.

Flaska från Mikkellers webshop. Riktigt fin maltkropp, stor för stilen, mjuk, krämig som passar bar med den lite gräsiga och örtiga humlen med en lätt blommig touch. TRevlig.

I do not wax on poetically about beer but I do know the quality of a beer once tasted. This review is not about my tastes but reinforces the numbers, which are arbitrary.

Muted sweet malt initially. Richer bitterness than expected. Pilsner like bitterness on the finish...peppery. Lingers a bit.

Bottle from Mikkeller Webshop. Pours hazy yellow with white head. Mild floral and grassy aroma with perfume and some spruce and yeast. Bitter, grainy taste with some lemon, caramel and spruce. Mild and balanced but with a little bit hard finish.

Bottle at home. Pours a clear golden with a small white head. Quite bitter with aromas of sprucey hops with gunsmoke hints. Also notes of a caramel malts. Medium bodied. Medium carbonation. Long bitter finish.

Bottled. Okay. A little bit thin in taste and hop character for a pale ale. Mediocre.

Bottle. Very slight hazy, golden in color. Medium to large head with just a tad of lace. Aroma is very mild floral, grass hops, just a tad weak and watery. Taste is a nice crisp hoppy bite up front with a mild, not too bitter finish.
