Bottle courtesy of, "hannont". Colour... hazy apricot-orange with no head. Nose... I think there’s some fruit there, but I’m not sure. Palate... hmmmm... let’s see.... I guess the best way to sum up the flavour profile is- two parts hydrogen and one part oxygen.

Tap @ Eccentric Cafe. Murky light brown colour, small off-white head. Aroma is smoke, banana. Flavour of sigarette smoke, banana. Smoky and bitter finish. Weird beer.

On tap at Eccentric cafe. Dark apple cider like appearance. Ok sized head. Average lacing. Nice spicing aroma. Sampled this gem on Eccentric day (12/05/08). This beer definitely improved as it warmed as did all the beers I drank that day. Its not everyday that you taste a really good Hef, but this beer fits the mold. Hope to see this one again.

On tap at the Eccentric cafe. this was a pleasant surprise to the nose. Ive known about Pawpaw trees and fruit for awhile but never knew what to expect from them. now I do. The smell reminds me of banana creme pie. as it warms the banana smell seems to disappear and the breadiness shows up. pale yellow in the glass but a little cloudy. Some cloves are present but not overpowering. Good beer for an experiment.

On tap at Eccentric Cafe. Bumbling around on Bells website I ran across this, and was pleasantly surprised to see it on tap last night. Pour was predictably light gold with a slight haze and a small white had. Aromas are interesting, and you have a pretty good idea what pawpaws are all about when you are done. Unripe bananas or uncooked plantain... it is big enough that it is hard to pick up some of the more subtle aromas that go with the style. After this got warm some of the other smells and flavors came out of hiding... bread and cloves, and the green bananas seem to fade. I am not sure what was going on with the taps last night, but everything was super cold and we had to wait for it all to warm up. This was like a different beer when warm.
