Another ale fermented with Montmorency cherries, Poolside is a light bodied wheat ale that blends clove and tart cherry flavors for a summer session beer.

Pours a hazy copper with a foamy white head. Aroma is cherries, clove, and spice. Flavor is sweet, but not too sweet, cherry, and some spice. Has lively carbonation and a light body. Pretty good.

Appearance: Pours a cloudy, cherry-tinged body with a smallish, stray, white head. Smell: Wheat and lightly tart, lightly sweet-scented cherries with underlying hints of clove, banana. Taste: Creamy wheat taste with a moderate sweetness appended. A light touch of gum with a bit of a harder hit of peppery, clove-like accents. Some cherry fruitiness but also some orchard fruit juices. Drying, fruity finish. Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium-light carbonation. Overall: Decent.

This stuff is okay in my book. It is kind of what all those brewpub fruit wheats should taste like. The cherry is natural and the beer itself a bit spicy to compliment. Itís full bodied w/ low carbonation and a bit of acidity for some bite. This is a cherry beer that tastes like cherries and beer. That is what you want.

Can from Miso Hoppy, 7/9/16. Nice tart cherry and wheat aroma and flavor. Slightly above average on the carbonation. Pretty drinkable. Good stuff.

Pinkish, orange, hazy in color wit slight cheery aroma. Smooth on the palate with no after bite. Not much cherry taste a little doughy. Not as bubbly as expecting. This would be nice beer by poolside. A little lighter than expecting also. Had a bigger white head when poured.

Can: Pours very cloudy....orange-amber with a soft, off-white head. Slightly spoiled cherries...wheat aroma. Nice, fruit-cocktail style cherry malt, yeast, wheat malt. Pretty nice.....slightly bitter cherry and a solid body.

Sparse details: 12oz can. not poolside, but just got home from pool. aroma is expected wheat, cherry, cereal sweet grain. tastes are along those lines with good balance. would happily drink by the side of a pool.

Poolside Ale is one of those beers I wouldnít so much as acknowledge if it werenít summertime. Fruit-infused Wheat Ales usually donít work for me, but when it gets stuffy and hotter than hell Iím happy to try one. Bellís Poolside is exactly right for the kind of hot weather lounging its name implies. Some pink cloudiness in the otherwise pale pour. Crisp, refreshing wheat malt and a sweet/tart tang from cherry. Finish is a little dry. Hell, Iíd take another in this weather.

Can. A- Subtle cherry, wheat. A- Orange color, cloudy liquid, white head. T- Wheat, subtle iron, artificial cherry, P- Light body, average texture, average carbonation, bland finish. O- This needs some work. I didnít expect great things but being from Bellís, I figured it would be enticing. Pretty boring and bland actually. Not much cherry there and what is there is pretty artificial tasting. This one just didnít work out, but it certainly has potential too. Maybe thatís why it was retired once already....
