Another ale fermented with Montmorency cherries, Poolside is a light bodied wheat ale that blends clove and tart cherry flavors for a summer session beer.

Tap at Maduro’s. Pale beer meets cherry juice on this one. Pours to an amber body with a dash of red. Cherry pretty much dominates the flavor. Kind of reminds me of a light version of New Glarus Belgian Red.

On tap at the the eccentric cafe. Real murky red amber with small head. Grainy fake cherry sweet aroma with some wheat. Glavor is drier than expected cherry with grain and that same syrup fruit flavor, slight sour. as well. Medium, lightly carbonated body. Okay.

On tap @ Eccentric Cafe. Pours translucent honey yellow with a white head. Nose is light malt, tart cherries, sweet cherries, and a bit of easygoing wheat. Flavor is about the same with lingering cherry sweetness. Nice beer.

On tap at Bells. Light aroma of cherry pie and some grain. Pours a murky rosy orange with little head. Flavor follows the nose with a fair bit of sweetness to it...bordering on too much. Other than that a good beer for the hot day it is.

Sample on tap at Eccentric. Body is amber with a little bit of a rosy head and aromas of cherries and wheat maltiness. Flavor follows suite and makes me wish it wasn’t a dreary Michigan day. In spite of the fruit this is crisp and refreshing with a little bit of pie cherry tartness to it.

draft at the brewpub - Pours cloudy pink with a thin head. It smells of yeast and wheat. The taste is sweet and light. The cherries are definitely there, but are not overpowering. Light bodied without being watery, this beer is a flavorful wheat ale.

I really enjoyed this. Bells take on a Cherry wheat was quite pleasent. Compared to other cherry wheats, poolside is not very sweet. The sweetness is sutble, while the flavor is rice in cherries. Beautiful red body with pink head.

12oz tap at the Eccentric Cafe - Crisp wheat aroma with a hint of cherry and light malts. Pours cloudy light brown with a small bubbly head and great lacing. Flavor is initially sweet cherry followed by a nice wheat malt finish. Palate is soft and smooth. Poolside indeed, a tasty summer brew.

On tap at Bells 8/16/08. Light and refreshing, wheaty with a touch of cherries for taste, not overpowering like the stout. A summer porch beer for sure, i could enjoy these by the six pack.
