esjaygee (688), Oak Creek, Wisconsin, USA Jul 13, 2008 On tap at the Eccentric Café. Orange-pink colored like pink grapefruit juice with no head. Aroma of cherry, wheat and light yeast. Taste of cherries and wheat with a tart and somewhat crisp finish. Better than most fruit wheat beers out there. drewbeerme (1716), Chicago, Illinois, USA Jul 6, 2008 on tap at the eccentric cafe. pours hazed bright grapefruit color with white head. nose of citrus and cherry. flavor is sweet orange, cherry, rather sweet. spritzy feel. just not my thing. masonjer (394), Lansing, Michigan, USA Jun 20, 2008 Draft at eccentric cafe. Pours a murky orange/pink color. yeast and clove on the nose, maybe a hint of cherry. Taste was much the same, a classic wheat in the background, with just enough cherry. I think the cherry really kept me into this beer, that touch of tartness was nice. I was surprised by how much I enjoyed this one. wmubronco1992 (94), Coldwater, Michigan, USA Jun 15, 2008 Draft at Eccentric Cafe on 5/28/08. Pours a hazy pinkish color. Small white head. Very little lacing. Aroma of banana, cloves, nutmeg, and a hint of tart cherry. Based on the name I wasn’t expecting much from this one. Happily I was totally wrong. This was a great summertime beer. Very light, refreshing and drinkable. The banana and nutmeg is brought out nicely while the cherry flavor is subtle so the beer integrity is maintained. Nicely done by Bells. Would like to see this one become a summer regular. Silphium (1981), Lansing, Michigan, USA May 19, 2008 On tap at the Eccentric Cafe. Pulpy orange body, reminding me of a blood orange. Thin off-white head. Grassy nose with cloves and cherry. Ester-dominated body, creamy and soapy with cloves and mineraly yeast notes. Bready malts and subtle tart, sweet cherry play off the esters. A refreshing easy drink.
