12oz bottle from Orland Park Binny’s. Pours dark brown with light tan head. Aroma is mostly roasted malt with some chocolate. Flavor is roasty with mostly chocolate and a touch of coffee with some light caramels flavors mixed in. Nothing overly complex or over powering. Just a nice solid porter.

Bottle. Pours dark brown with a thick, but lightly tan coloured head. Aroma is of malt with a slight hint of coffee. Very smooth beer with a dainty coffee flavour followed by a roasty chocolaty finish.

Draft at International Beer Garten (Lutz, FL). Pours a clear dark reddish brown color with an ample tan head. Aroma is dominated by roasted malts and coffee. Nice, smooth flavor of coffee followed by bittersweet chocolate and a slight smokiness in a tasty bitter finish. A very enjoyable porter.

Bottle. Poured a large, foamy, light brown, lasting head. Clear, dark brown body with a slight reddish hue. Mildly malty nose, with a pronounced roasted coffee aroma. The roasted coffee flavor is prevalent in the taste and is accompanied by faint toffee notes and a bit of campfire smokiness. Some bitter chocolate undertones are also present and become a more pronounced towards the finish. A slight, pleasant burnt flavor lingers briefly. An overall clean finish thanks to a nice balance of bittering hops. Some of the roastiness hangs around after the malty sweetness has been cleaned off. No complaining here. The body is medium, with a nice, light creamy mouthfeel and soft carbonation. Nothing overbearing. Overall a well done porter that I’d never turn down and often request.

Mild aroma of roasted malts, with a hint of chocolate and coffee. Pours a clear dark ruby, with a thin, tan head. Silky mouthfeel, with a flavor that is full of roasted malts, hints of chocolate and smoke in the finish. Not my favorite style, but a very drinkable beer.

12 oz bottle received from trade. Pours dark brown with a tan head. Excellent roasty smells with coffee. Taste continues the roast and adds a nice smooth flavor that also brings out chocolate. Nice porter.

Pours a deep brown with red highlights and a thick foamy tan head. Leaves a generous lace. Nice oasted malt aroma: dark fruits licorice, but it doesn’t last. Flavor begins with the berries and licorice, mostly a cereal-oriented pale malt backbone and then finishes with some bittersweet chocolate. Thin to medium body, nicely effervescent in the mouth.

Poured from the bottle into a pint glass. Pour produced a dark red-brown body, topped by a dark tan head of thick, rocky foam. Aroma was light, with roasted coffee being the predominate note. Mouth feel is smooth, with a light carbonation, and a bitter flavor that peaks quickly then subsides, giving way to the roasted malted coffee palate that is indicative of the style, finally leaving a slightly sweet stickiness on the lips. A proper porter.
