Oct 20, 2009 Wow! Had this on draft for the first time at a local pub and I was amazed at how good it was. Porters often have a overly bitter finish--this beer does not. Not surprised Bells comes through again and again.

Oct 14, 2009 Draught at Brixx Pizza. Finally getting around to rating this one. Dark brown with a small tan head. Roasted malts, coffee, light cocoa. Solid, if not very exciting. But that’s what a porter should be.

Oct 2, 2009 Pours dark brown with red highlights, and a creamy off-white head that does not last too long. Aroma is metallic and roasty. Taste is predictable: chocolate and coffee. A bit thin and watery. Drinkable and kind of boring.

Sep 27, 2009 Tap. Pour is clear dark brown with medium tan head. Aroma is roasted malt, light coffee, light smoke, and a crisp hop presence. Flavor is smooth and well-balanced. Malt and light coffee to start with a very crisp hop finish. Nice beer.

Sep 24, 2009 12 oz bottle pours dark brown, bubbly tan head that didn’t last. Rich chocolate and smoky aromas, touch of caramel. Tastes pretty full bodied with medium sweetness, then a nice bitter chocolate finish.

Sep 21, 2009 How have I not rated this? Dark brown, thin loose tan head. Dark, toasty coffee-esque aroma. Very smooth mouthfeel. Coffee and chocolate, with a nice, dry finish. Not complicated but tasty and well made.

Sep 8, 2009 Pours black with a thick tan head. Roasted grains, chocolate malt aroma. Smooth body, chocolate malt and roasted grain taste. Very good.
