DrBayern (1135), Morehead City, North Carolina, USA Sep 25, 2008 12 oz. bottle on 09/25/08. Aroma - Roasted malts, coffee, whiffs of chocolate, distant peppery spice. Appearance - Deep, ruby tinged brown pour under a tall, creamy beige head, spotty, stringy lace. Flavor - Burnt sugar lends some sweetness up front, bitter contributions from both dark roasty malt and some spicy, earthy hops are more prominent. Palate - Medium to full body and light carbonation combine in a pleasant chewiness with easy drinkability. Overall - A very nice porter with good balance and combination of flavors. cmillward (419), Orlando, Florida, USA Sep 22, 2008 Bottle. Wonderful sessionable porter. Brown with a light tan fuzzy creamy head. On the nose, chocolate, roasty with honeyed touches. Yum. Chocolate, roasty, some nice malts, a touch acidic, light bitterness. Very light, good carbonation, smooth with a nice astringency to the finish. This is so solid. doboy (175), Morehead City, North Carolina, USA Sep 21, 2008 Dark porter with a head that doesn’t end till the last drop! Got it a little too cool, let it sit. Nice malt and coffee flavors with a hint of chocolate. Mouthfeel firmed up as it warmed. Nice mild bittering on back end. BigJoe7231 (24), Schererville, Indiana, USA Sep 19, 2008 A dark porter, full of flavor. This stuff has a chocolate coffee thing going on. Deep and malty, very drinkable....I highly recommend. AskForJenny (627), Ontario, New York, USA Sep 17, 2008 12ox - Chocolate and smoke on nose, very little carbonation but not flat. Cucumber on palate with a bitter finish. This really lacks the structure of a porter, but its a refreshing ale for sure. lemasney (398), Trenton, New Jersey, USA Sep 15, 2008 RateBeer Rating, Style and Glass: 93, porter, pint, stem glass

Nice full dark flavors just flow from this beer. Dark and lovely. TheEpeeist (1430), Swarthmore, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 14, 2008 12 oz bottle. Dark brown with a tan head. Nose is brown sugar and coffee with a little mustiness. Medium light with a tingle. Taste is mocha, a touch of caramel and grass. A soild example of the style from Bell’s. My first foray into the top 500 raters.
