COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A dark ale for all occasions. A blend of dark malt gives this beer flavors of coffee and chocolate with some smokey roasted notes.

This could be the best Porter I have had so far. We’ll see what the statistics reveal, but right now, there is nothing I would rather be drinking.

12oz bottle from dukefan. Pours a dark brown body with a trace of tan head and little lacing. I see some floaters at the bottom of my glass. Aromas of day-old coffee, roasty, bittersweet chocolate and malty sweetness. Flavors of bittersweet chocolate, earthy, light toffee sweetness, some stale coffee. Light to medium mouthfeel.

Strong aroma of coffee and chocolate. Deep chocolate color with a light head. Smooth and super easy to drink, but not as full-bodied as I expected. Pretty darn good overall.

Tap. Dark brown pour with a thin white head. Aroma is chocolate and roast. Semi creamy body. Taste is slightly bitter, chocolate, and coffee. Great porter.

Pours like cola, dark, yet translucent and a quickly diminishing head leaving no lacing behind. The initial aroma is of alcohol and grains, the finish is a bit coffee. As it sits, chocolate seems to really come along, take the coffee’s hand and run away with the show. A slight it of soapiness is there as well. The flavor is actually a little sweet like licorice, malt, maybe a bit of cheap chocolate like a tootsie roll. The finish is rather long with the sugars hanging on. Overall, the flavor is rather mild, just not much to this one.

Ashy, smokey and dissappointing. Friend brought this back from the US and this is not the best Bells I’ve had. Too bad.

A pretty unremarkable Porter. A bit too carbonated for my liking. I never turn down agood Porter and I wouldn’t turn this one down.
