| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jun 1, 2008 Pours a dark chocolate color with an inch of cream colored head and little retention or lacing.
Smells of dark roasted malts.
The taste has initial hints of chocolate and coffee, finishing with a moce roasted malt flavor.
Great balance in the mouth, good carbonation level, but leaves the mouth a little dry.
Excellent beer, but not for sessions. One or two of these and I’m done.

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | May 27, 2008 Smells nice and fresh. Black and tan. Even aroma of choc espresso with freshness. Taste: smoky malt with espresso choc. Mild chew, proper for porter. Not as over the top fruity as some porters can be. Rciesla (3580), Exit 15W, New Jersey, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | May 24, 2008 Dark opaque draft. The smell of heavy roasted malt with a bit of straw and hay? Strong roasted coffee flavor. This one has a nice earthy gritty feel to it. A good porter. tedovertu (260), Apple Valley, Minnesota, USA

The head is tan and generous. The aroma was muted, murky and dusty. The flavor chocolate, dark roasted malts and mocha. The mouthfeel was full and creamy. The finish was medium and dry with a bit of lingering walnut flavor. Overall: A very decent, drinkable porter. Recommended.
