"robust is right. full bodied and full flavored. rich aroma of roasted malt & milk chocolate. medium bodied and smooth. dark brown, tan head, decent lacing. flavor is rich as well...chocolate up front with hints of coffee, sweet malt, roasted malts, hops, and a smidge of smoke. lingering dry finish. right up there with the best American porters. courtesy of pfoxyjohn."

2.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
I had this at Global Brew. Pours black with a tan head. Taste coffee, chocolate, roasted malt. I thought this was not good (I don't like coffee). I would not drink this again.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
pours unclear if not dirty dark brown-reddish with a small light beige head, some retention and lacing. dark roasted malts, coffee grinds, ashy and dusty - could be cleaner, hint of maple and minerals, some red fruitiness. moderately low carbonation, light body, dry coffee-resinous-ashy finish. let-down. still.. o-k.

Drank from a twelve ounce bottle. Amazing aromas of malts and chocolate. Good flavor but tastes too much like a generic porter. Not much complexity.
