3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 kevinsenn (328) - Waterloo, Ontario, CANADA - MAR 31, 2012
Bottle from brewery. Pours deep dark brown with a 1-inch head. Mild roasty and yeasty aroma. Great smooth roasty and chocolatey taste, with a perfect balance between sweet and bitter. Other than the not-too-outstanding aroma, this is a perfect example of what a Porter should be.

Pours dark brown with creamy head. Smell is creamy, bready, and a little sweet. The taste is similar, sweet and light for such a dark beer. There is a creamy malted milk touch and a light chocolaty bit. Seems like it would go well with ice cream. Starts full and thick but gives way to a seemingly simple porter.

Good porters are good. Nothing fantastic but it is a very well made roasty, creamy porter and everything you could want in the style. Well done.
