Pours black with deep brown highlights and a one-finger white head. Great mocha aroma. Swirling brings out a unique toasted raisin smell. More of the roastiness comes through in the flavor, but the relative lightness and milk chocolate finish remind you you’re drinking a Porter. Good stuff.

12 oz bottle. Very dark brown with a creamy brown head. Definite chocolate and coffee presence in the nose and flavor. Solid malt base. Medium body. Not a thriller, but a solid brew.

Now this is quite nice. Aroma and color seem right on. I’m getting a softer rounder roaster aroma with very little harshness. It slides across the tounge and I expected some harshness but I was pleased to get some great, dark, almost toffee-like roastedness. Very excellent display of this style.

12 oz bottle acquired in trade with Acknud. Pours a dark brown with 1/2" tan head. No lacing to speak of. Dry mouthfeel. Flavor is roasted malts with a hint of bitter chocolate, but on the light side. Pretty good porter.

A good porter with a dry finish. There is some complex malt flavor here. This is nice for a colder evening.

12 ounce bottle. Pint glass. Dark with a tan head. Aroma - malt and cocoa. Flavor was somewhat bland with a chalky mouthfeel. Hints of malt, chocolate and coffee. Pretty subtle.
