Pours dark, dark brown some light manages to poke through, with a smallish beige colored head. Roasted malts, some coffee, hints of chocolate dominate the aroma. Flavor is just like the aroma. Palate is medium bodied, medium carbonation, finishes bitter. Rock solid. VeloVampire (489), Parkdale, Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Aroma very roasty and sweet, chocolatey and vinous. Yum. Flavour has a full roasted malt quality which imparts flavours of cocoa and coffee. Smooth and creamy in the mouth, and robust as well. The floating yeast contributes a light breadiness which nicely offsets the thick darkness. Faint notes of smoke in the finish, along with a lactic sweetness. Excellent plain porter done very, very well. radagast83 (1289), Fairfax, Virginia, USA

Aroma is chocolate, caramel, and roasted malts. Flavor is smooth and has a really nice creamy flavor to it. Malt balance is great. mhelgason (495), Charlotte, North Carolina, USA

Black body. Aromas of chocolate, caramel, toasted malts, and some smoke. Flavor is initially lioght bitter and finishes moderately bitter. Watery texture, Lively carbonation. Long duratin of flavor. Light to medium bodied. This porter was good but a bit weaker than I would have liked. Hawksfan17 (717), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA

Poured with a great dark tan head that lasted. Roasty, with hints of chocolate and coffee. Nicely balanced, easily drinkable. Good, but nothing to really seperate it from a lot of others. Could be a little thicker, but overall, a solid porter.
