Dark brown appearance with large light tan head. Aroma is chocolate and hazelnut with a hint of coffee. Flavor is rich coffee with a thin palate. Needs a little body to be a great porter.

Trade with kmweaver. Very dark brown. Faint head. Thick strong coffee aroma. Cold chocolate flavoured coffee taste. Very nice but such a reliable brewer and in a particular style that you may not remember it.

Has a subtle, sweet, yet distinctly bell’s aroma. Opaque black with white head. Light roastiness with good amount of sweetness. That bell’s aroma that I desicribed is coming out in the taste. Medium bodied, and enjoyable all the way through.

Bottled; black with a small to medium light brown head. Aroma of roasted malt; some sweet-chocolate, caramel, and alcohol. Good aroma, but too subtle. Palate and mouthfeel were a little on the "light" side for my liking, but not bad or detracting. Flavor of roasted malt, chocolate, black licoriceand caramel; not very bitter, but some hop presence. Good for the style, but not brilliant.

On draft. Deep dark pour with a decent tan head. Roasted aroma with hints of chocolate and nuts. Not an overpowering flavor, but a mix of roasted malt, chocolate, and possibly caramel? Smooth, easy to drink. Good.
