Bottle: Pours a dark brown with a thing tan head. The aroma was malty. The flavor reminded me of peanut butter, it was roasted and toasted peanuts. Overall, a very good beer!

Bottle thanks a great trader Acknud! This is super porter. Nice toast and grain smells with a darkish tan head. Beer is malty wtih a nice hint of hops. Well done again by the Bells brewery.

Pours dark brown from the bottle with tan head. Aroma is sweetly malty, with a little bit of roast. Medium light body with a fairly large amount of carbonation that finishes clean. Flavor is malty with a medium roast, a little bit of coffee and chocolate. A tasty, easy to drink dark beer for when something heavier like a big impy might be too much.

Pours dark brown with a nice tan head. Smells of chocolate, roasted malt. Tastes of brown sugar, some chocolate, flaked oats, some mellow roastiness. Nice!

Pours dark brown with a thick off-white head. Aroma is sweet malty with a bit of nut. Flavor is more sweet malt with chocolate finish. Lacks some of that roasty flavor I like in a porter but still nice and drinkable.

Very good, drinkable, enjoyable porter at a reasonable price.
It pours a deep reddish brown with a fair tan head that last a while and leaves lots of good lacing.
The aroma is immediately roasted coffee with some cocoa and sweetness as well. The flavor follow suit adding maltiness and smokiness. At first, the mouthfeel is a bit thinner than I’d like a porter to be, but it has more carbonation than most porters so it the lightness works and leaves a clean finish.
I think what struck me the most is that you have a number of ’strong’ flavors: Chocolate, roast coffee, nut, malt, and smoke, YET the body and carbonation, as well as an expert comibination of the flavors keeps the brew fairly light for a porter.
Very well done!

Another win from Bell’s. I had this a few weeks ago, and again they have proven themselves as a smart, organized brewery.

Great, fluffy brown head. Aroma’s not too strong, but some roasted malts creep through. Heavy roast on the taste, which is really nice. I am picking up some coffee notes as well. Not a very strong body; it’s a bit thin but still much better than a lot of other porters that I’ve had. Lovely bitter finale.
