Low carbonated. monkeychugg55 (213), Joliet, Illinois, USA Apr 30, 2009 Pours a near black brown with a small light tan head that fades fast. The commercial description is dead on. Aroma is of coffee, chocolate, and heavily toasted malt. Flavor is same, with a little bit of coffee bitterness and end. Mouthfeel is a little watery, but the flavor more than makes up for it. favneighbor (8), North Carolina, USA does not count Apr 30, 2009 Drank this beer at a cool temperature out of 12oz bottle. I Immediately recognized a strong smoky flavor followed by mellow coffee and chocolate notes. Aftertaste left me wishing I was eating this with a meal because my palate was somewhat dry feeling. Drawing from little experience with porters this was a very bold but smooth beer.
