Commercial Description:
A dark ale for all occasions. A blend of dark malt gives this beer flavors of coffee and chocolate with some smokey roasted notes.

Pours a near black brown with a small light tan head that fades fast. The commercial description is dead on. Aroma is of coffee, chocolate, and heavily toasted malt. Flavor is same, with a little bit of coffee bitterness and end. Mouthfeel is a little watery, but the flavor more than makes up for it.

Drank this beer at a cool temperature out of 12oz bottle. I Immediately recognized a strong smoky flavor followed by mellow coffee and chocolate notes. Aftertaste left me wishing I was eating this with a meal because my palate was somewhat dry feeling. Drawing from little experience with porters this was a very bold but smooth beer.

12 oz. single bottle from Total Wine in Huntersville, NC. Pours a nice dark brown color with a think tan head. Aroma is roasted malt and some coffee and cocoa notes. Flavor is similar to the aroma with roasted malt and some coffee. Very nice.

Courtesy of Daknole. Pours dark brown. Smells of rich and robust malts with hints of freshly brewed coffee and chocolate accompanied by a very faint hint of smoked almond. Flavor is somewhat smokey and again I notice smoked almond, but this time I taste it. Coffee is noticeable but the chocolate flavor is much less pronounced than it was in the aroma. I respect anything that tastes good under 6% that isn’t a saison or a sour.

a moderate porter with flavors of fruit and some coffee and milk chocolate. the rest of beer feels soft with a low concentration of carbonation.

The aroma is very porter like with burnt malt, chocolate, and coffee. The appearance is dark brown with a nice head. The flavor is like the aroma and typical for the style. The palate is average for the style. Overall it’s nice but an average porter.
