morrdt (608), Jacksonville, Florida, USA Apr 28, 2009 12 oz. single bottle from Total Wine in Huntersville, NC. Pours a nice dark brown color with a think tan head. Aroma is roasted malt and some coffee and cocoa notes. Flavor is similar to the aroma with roasted malt and some coffee. Very nice. dogfish120love (250), west hartford, Connecticut, USA Apr 19, 2009 Courtesy of Daknole. Pours dark brown. Smells of rich and robust malts with hints of freshly brewed coffee and chocolate accompanied by a very faint hint of smoked almond. Flavor is somewhat smokey and again I notice smoked almond, but this time I taste it. Coffee is noticeable but the chocolate flavor is much less pronounced than it was in the aroma. I respect anything that tastes good under 6% that isn’t a saison or a sour. Palidor19 (1750), Brandon, Florida, USA Apr 15, 2009 a moderate porter with flavors of fruit and some coffee and milk chocolate. the rest of beer feels soft with a low concentration of carbonation. nick76 (2634), Tampa, Florida, USA Apr 15, 2009 The aroma is very porter like with burnt malt, chocolate, and coffee. The appearance is dark brown with a nice head. The flavor is like the aroma and typical for the style. The palate is average for the style. Overall it’s nice but an average porter. thehardrocker (2), Livonia, Michigan, USA does not count Apr 14, 2009 A wonderful beer out of the Bell’s Brewery in Kalamazoo MI. Great with fish and chips. mmbt7 (26), Moorhead, Minnesota, USA Apr 13, 2009 Wonderful beer, very complex with an unmistakable finish. One of my faves! SudsMcDuff (1691), was CapeTown,SA-now Houston, Texas, USA Apr 13, 2009 Moe was a boxer... He started as "Kid Gorgeous" and slowly morphed into "Kid Presentable", "Kid Gruesome", and finally "Kid Moe" ... another great brew from Bells... . MatSciGuy (629), Rosemount, Minnesota, USA Apr 12, 2009 [Bottle] Pours deep brown with a smallish tan head. Aroma is caramelly and roasty malts, some lactose, baker’s chocolate, and some coffee. Flavor is really nice and roasty, lots of chocolate, some roasted coffee beans, some sweet malt and maybe a touch of lactose. Medium mouthfeel is aided by the carbonation. Really nice and drinkable, I could drink several of these.
