Oct 23, 2008 12 fl oz bottle. Pours deep brown with a small redish/deep amber with a small tan head. Light woody and caramel aroma. Flavour is mild bitter and chocolate malty with a light roasted note. Ends smooth and chocolate flavoured with a vague acidic roasted note.

Nov 14, 2002 Dark porter, stoutish in appearance. Serious coffee aroma -- do a blind smell test and you’d have trouble picking out the Starbucks. Flavor is bitter coffee. Between this and the Java Stout, it’s clear Larry likes his coffee almost as much as he likes his beer.
