Poured dark with ruby highlights. Nice thick off-white foamy head. Aroma roasty. Flavor big on the coffee notes with hints of chocolate in the middle and back. Whoa....I feel like I just took 3 shots of espresso, Nice! Smooth, Velvety mouthfeel. Medium bodied. Great Porter, this has become my go-to beer!

Oct 10, 2008 12oz i’ve been sitting on for way too long. Batch 6723. Pours black with a tan head. Nose is sweet and malty. Taste is sweet and malty. Its decent look forward to trying a fresher bottle.

Oct 9, 2008 Bottle from hellbilly. Thanks! Pours a nice dark brown with a frothy beige head. The aroma is husky dark malts, mild roast, and a touch of sweetness. The flavor is similar with a good dose of dark malts, some chocolate, and some light roast. The finish is a little dry and roasty with a moderate hop profile as well. Carbonation is medium, and the beer drinks smooth.

Oct 6, 2008 Dark brown with some amber highlights and an off-white head. Aroma is mild with notes of roasted malts, cocoa, vanilla, and nuttiness. Flavor is also mild, bordering on thin, although the flavor that is there is good- chocolate, vanilla, and some slight smokey roasted notes. Creamy mouthfeel is nice.
