Good smells upon opening the bottle. Very full yet clean mouthfeel with coffee notes on the finish. I’m not a coffee drinker so I like when porters are not overwhelmingly coffee flavored. This one is nicely balanced. Very drinkable.

Pitch black with a beige head. Aroma contains some dark chocolate and coffee. The flavor is rather bitter with some coffee and dark chocolate going on. Aftertaste is a bit dry. Overall a pretty good porter.

Pours a black color with tan head. Can be a bit roasty with almost a burnt marshmallow after finish. Very solid, but not overwhelming porter.

Bottle from Whole Foods Market, Bowery, New York, NY. A dark brown/black coloured pour with a medium beige head on top. Roasty, malty, chocolate aroma. Tastes similar, roasty, malty, chocolate, slightly ashy and a little thin. Decent enough porter though.

"robust is right. full bodied and full flavored. rich aroma of roasted malt & milk chocolate. medium bodied and smooth. dark brown, tan head, decent lacing. flavor is rich as well...chocolate up front with hints of coffee, sweet malt, roasted malts, hops, and a smidge of smoke. lingering dry finish. right up there with the best American porters. courtesy of pfoxyjohn."

I had this at Global Brew. Pours black with a tan head. Taste coffee, chocolate, roasted malt. I thought this was not good (I don't like coffee). I would not drink this again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

pours unclear if not dirty dark brown-reddish with a small light beige head, some retention and lacing. dark roasted malts, coffee grinds, ashy and dusty - could be cleaner, hint of maple and minerals, some red fruitiness. moderately low carbonation, light body, dry coffee-resinous-ashy finish. let-down. still.. o-k.
