Pours a deep mahogany, almost black, with a bubbly brown head. Nose is somewhat dull with hints of caramel and burnt toast. Flavor is full and complex, with a very clean finish, onderful for the style. If this brew had just a touch more roasted flavor, it would be the best porter ever, it is still among the best. This is a great overall brew. Adverse2Bitter (35), Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA

A good nutty character with little to no bitterness. After taste focus on roosted nut flavor, with just a hint of raisin. hopslovin (181), Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA

Chocolate and sweet malt on the nose. Coffee/chocolate bitterness on the front, as the tasty concoction slides to the back of the throat some sweetness becomes apparent. Medium mouthfeel with a nice bit of carbonation to perk things up. Smooth chocolate finish. psuCE03 (123), York, Pennsylvania, USA

Deep brown pour with a thin head that disappears quickly. Great roasted aroma with some coffee notes. Rich chocolate, caramel, roasted barley, and some toffee. Great mouthfeel. Rich but not overpowering. There was a bit of bitterness at the swallow, but I would guess that is from the roast and not hops. Really enjoyed it. jdmhawk (31), Bettendorf, Iowa, USA
