Pours nice dark brown with a hint of red and a finger of light tan creamy head that dissipates quickly and leaves a little lacing behind. Very nice roasted malt aroma with some chocolate notes. Excellent smoky roasted chocolate malt flavor with a very nice coffee finish. Great porter, wish I had more.

Aug 18, 2008 Very deep brown with plenty of red. A very deep hued head lasts only a minute before settling into a thin ring. A smoky dark chocolate aroma. Flavors of dark chocolate and coffee. Some dark fruit. Nice dry roasted bitterness. Zesty effervescence and a substantial viscosity. Delicious. So sorry I only bought one.

Aug 18, 2008 Dark opaque pour with a tan head. Roasty aroma with some sour lactic acid. Hints of chocolate and coffee. Very sweet creamy flavor. Fades to bitter roast with some coffee. Bitter hops to finish. Good, easy to drink porter.

Aug 17, 2008 Aroma is chocolate, caramel, burnt coffee and toast, and roasted malt. Appearance is very dark brown with thin dark tan head that fades. Flavor is burnt coffee and toast, chocolate and roasted malts. I also taste something else but not sure what it is...its interesting. Palate is great, full bodied, great carbonation and a roasted bitter aftertaste. Overall, another easy drinker from Bell’s.

Aug 17, 2008 Pours a dark brown with a thin tan head. Very nice aroma of chocolate, roasted malt, and coffee. I think it is a little thin for a Porter but it does still have very good flavor. On a side note, I am pumped to have Bells back in Illinois finally. Thank you Bells!

Aug 16, 2008 pour dark with a hint of amber glow when held to the light. head didn’t last very long. decent aroma not overly noticable taste is nice- not near the taste of the Expedition for my palette. A good drinkable brew.
