Fairly high carbonation. Tons of roasted malt. Some coffee and unsweetened chocolate flavors. Bitter, dry. Not very complex.

Flaska från Mikkellers webbshop. Smak och doft av choklad, fina kaffe armoer, rostad malt med toner av mocca, vanilj och russin. En stabil och välgjord porter. Rund och len, välbalanserad och lagom sötma.

BOTTLE. Good cola black colour with minimal off white head.. Heavy malt & molasses on the nose, some woodiness, smells like a big ABV beer.. Easy dark & biscuit malt body, blends with chocolate & oats.. Sourced Cape Cellars

Poured from the bottle into a pint glass to drink. The beer had a rich black color with a dark brown hue and a very large creamy light tan head with great retention, lacing, and cling. Its aroma featured malty notes of caramel, toffee, and molasses, along with some earthy and grainy notes. The taste was sweet and malty with caramel, toffee, and light chocolate notes. It had a wet and creamy body with lower carbonation and a smooth character.

12oz bottle - super dark brown liquid with a thin tan head. Smooth aroma full of cocoa, coffee, chocolate milk and mild peat. Standard and well made porter flavors like toasted barley, roasty malts, bittersweet cocoa and a hint of coffee.

Bell’s Porter has a thick, creamy, beige head, a dark brown appearance, and heavy lacing left on the glass. The aroma is of semi-sweet, roasted malt, and dark bread, and the flavor is of cream, some coffee, roasted malt, a touch of char, and bread crust. Bitterness is not high, here. Mouthfeel is light to medium, and Bell’s Porter finishe mostly dry. This is good, but a bit dull. RJT

Bottle. A- Iron, cocoa, subtle smoke. A- Black color, dark liquid, light brown head. T- Cocoa, dry, slight bitterness, roasty, malty. P- Full body, slightly thin texture, average carbonation, malty finish. O- While I wasn’t overly keen on the aroma...a little too much iron in it, it was a pretty textbook porter. I mean, hell, the name is about as obvious as it gets. Lots of dry roasty bitter cocoa and not a ton else. Good but I expect better from Bells.

Bottle - Pours rich dark brown/black, white head that didn’t stick around. Aroma of dark toast, almost burnt. A medley of nuts, with some chocolate muffin mix. Mild bitter in the end with something I can only describe as open drain sewage. Weird description, but I like this beer.

Poured from a 12 OZ bottle into a pint glass. The appearance is black with a small tan head. The aroma is your standard porter smell of roasted malt with a hint of coffee. The taste is matches the aroma with the exception of some chocolate added. A very good porter.
