Dark mahogany brown. The tan head is fairly large, lasts a while and leaves broken sheets of lace on the glass. The nose is of roasted black malt, dark chocolate, vanilla and dark red wine. So far, so good. The flavor, like the aroma, is considerably roasted malty with lovely bittersweet chocolate notes. Notes of cordial cherries are present as well, but chocolate shares equal billing. Thereís also a restrained hoppiness that balances the finish which is long and increasingly bitter, especially as the beer warms. Firm, not quite full body with a lively carbonation. Good mouthfeel overall; a little fizzy for a porter, but it is tolerable. Bellís Porter is a quality brew like all their offerings. Itís carbonation sets it apart from others and its noticeable hoppiness sets it apart from the others. These qualities neither detract of add to the quality; they just make it uniques.

This was a bit underwhelming. Nice flavour - chocolate, coffee, some roasty malt - but somewhat light bodied. Still a good porter - and quite nicely balanced - but a bit lacklustre.

Pours a deep mahogany. Hints of earthy roasted coffee beans and chocolate. Rich roasted malts, coffee, hints of caramel and cocoa. A very nice porter.

Pours a dark brown color with ruby glints in the light. A light tan-gray head forms to a size equal to the beer on which it sits. Spider web laces the insides of the glass. Ample coffee on the nose. Mouthfeel is full, but becomes more cottony as the astringency increases. Some sweetness, but not too sweet. In fact, it is bittered well enough at the finish to balance. Coffee, some ripe plum, and fine smokiness comprise the flavors of this well-engineered porter.

Bottle pour at the globe. Ack with tan head. Milky and creamy porter. Very good. Slight nut and chocolate taste.

Bellís porter is deep deep brown with some rubby high lights. When poured it produces about one inch of desent head fading to a wisp ring . Aroma is rich with roasted malt slightly sweet. Hops are present but not much. Smooth and rich roasted, slightly burnt malt taste is present. Hops are there just for balance purposes and are not a major player. Has a rich full taste but I would like to taste some of the flavors we come to associate with a rich and complex malt bill. Variety and difference is just as good. A well made beer I can enjoy time and time again Drink well my friends

Draft. Pours deep brown with a beige head. Husky and roasted malts, moderate sweetness, faint bitterness, and a nice quick malty finish. Not too sweet, and a good deal of rich malt character. Spot on.
