Darkish pour, not much head... Good dark fruit and banana flavored but sweeter than it needs to be. Had high hopes going in but those left after drinking it.

Draft to taster at Eccentric Cafe. Looks solid; a slightly hazy pale copper with foamy white head. Smells of dark fruit and mild Belgian esters. Tastes like it smells with a nice, smooth mouthfeel. Soft but appropriate carbonation. Enjoyable.

On tap at Bells. Pour is deep amber with no head. Aroma and flavor of oak, booze, wheat, grains, light banana, and vegetables. Not good.

Tap @ Bells: Bright copper, vibrant & shiny like a new penny. The lightest, beige-tinted collar Iíve ever seen on a quad. Aroma of raisin bread, rotten banana esters, toasted malts, faint honey, clumpy Belgian yeast spices, & some phenolic alcohol. Taste is even more phenolic & pretty boozy, the 10% ABV does not go undetected. Sweet toffee, anise, raisins, black licorice, some bitter & dirty earth tones, spicy clove, mild roast, more of those yeasty banana esters, & some finishing, medicinal gummy notes from the Belgian yeast. Lots of stuff going on; sure, itís complex. Dunno if the flavors are meshing so well, though. Not bad, but merely decent. Rough around the edges compared to upper echelon quadruples.

Draft sampler at the brewpub. Robust amber pour. Dark fruit and malts, booze and yeastiness. Not my fave.

Cloudy amber pour with offwhite head a sixteenth inch high. Aroma is pretty light, sour rubbery yeast. Soft carbonation, very foamy mouthfeel, assertive boozy finish thatís dry. Super boozy taste, soapy and strong bubblegum yeast, wheat too, kind of grainy. Not my kind of belgian, boozy with too much focus on bubblegum and soapy esters.
