Smelled and looked great...didn’t have much taste. Body was very thin and overcarbonated. Would be good at brunch, I guess. Strong smelling seltzer with little flavor.

Sample at Fourth Street Bar & Grill during the Bells Tap Takeover on 10/12/2011: Slightly cloudy red color with a minimal white head. Spotty lacing on the glass. Grainy malt and raspberry in the nose. Medium body with a mildly tart raspberry character and some sweet grainy malt behind it. The finish is short and fruity. Pretty average overall.

Glass at the Bell’s tap takeover at 4th Street Patio on 10/12/11. Reddish pour with a thin white head. Aroma is authentic raspberry (a little feety) with some fruity tartness. Raspberry and grainy malt flavor with a slightly tart finish.

Bottle 148 of 495 thanks to womencantsail. Pours with a fluffy off-white head with a lightly hazed red body. Aroma of raspberry, sticky, sweet, a bit of wheat, seltzer. Flavors are extremely watery. Seltzer, wheat, raspberry and little else. Pretty clean too, no esters. A bit of a malic bite. Lively bubbles, dryish. A bit bland. Really seems like little more than raspberry and seltzer. Drinkable though.

A: The beer pours a bright reddish color with a white head that maybe has a hint of pink. S: Smells like raspberries. Apart from those, there is a lot of grass and a light grain scent, perhaps some corn, too. A decent amount of wet straw, in there as well. T: The taste is a bit like raspberry seltzer water. Very highly carbonated with a decent amount of sweet raspberry. It is a touch watery and like the aroma, is heavy on the grain, straw, and grass. M: Somewhat light in body with a very high level of carbonation. O: Disappointing. The fruit flavor is pretty decent, but the base beer is just not good and detracts from the overall experience.

On tap @ AZ Wine during 2011 RBWG - Pours a red color with a small pink head. Aroma and flavor is full of raspberries. Not too sweet. Medium bodied, dry finish. A pretty nice beer.

750 ml bottle. Pours a brilliant, clear red color, promising a lot of raspberry taste. It has a nice complimentary white ring of head. Aroma is definatly of raspberry, with a disconcerting sour note. A sweeter taste is expected (similar to a lambic) but there is little of it. Some sweetness would have brought out the raspberry.

Pours a pretty deep red color with a small but well retained head. The aroma has a lot of nice earthy and sweet raspberry notes and some very mild yeastiness. The flavor is nicely tart with loads of fresh raspberry flavor and a light sourness and only a mild sweetness. As it warms it gets grainy and yeasty and flavors just sort of muddle up a bit making it less exciting as say the first half of the pint. A pretty nice Raspberry beer, loads more interesting than the typical "Raspberry Wheat" but something entirely different than say Raspberry Tart.

Cloudy deep red with a thin white head. Nose has lots of the raspberry with a jammy character. The taste is more dry than expected with a fruity iron finish. Lots of jam. There is some light yeast. Interesting anyway.
