3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 Doghair (122) - Illinois, USA - AUG 20, 2012Had this as part of a beer dinner. Served in a small snifter type glass from tap. Nice slightly red color, no foam with a whitish ring. There may have been foam when it was poured but not when I received it. The smell is fresh raspberries and a little hops. The taste is almost the same. Tart fresh raspberries and maybe a bit of hops. Light palate with a good bit of carbonation. Overall this is good but more sour/tart than I prefer.

Draft to taster at the Eccentric Cafe. Looks good for the style; a transparent reddish-orange with white lacing. Smells of raspberries and wheat. Tastes like it smells with an average mouthfeel. Alright.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Hair6a11 (1156) - Illinois, USA - FEB 9, 2013
Batch K10357, Bottle 187 ; Pour is murky gold with pink highlights ; the bottle popped, revealing a bit of over carbonation here. The white head with slight pink highlighting is average initial, retains on the modest side, and there is some light lacing present. The nose is raspberry jam, seeds, caramel malts really ; I thought this one came across as a really nice drinker, and one of the better fruit beers I had, in spite of the fact that the base beer is on the boring side. Raspberry comes through in a natural , non artificial way here, and this brew drinks clean and bright, with more raspberry jam, mild tart, medium sweet, caramel, bread, and light bitter - I enjoyed it.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 5000 (4974) - Hardened Liver, Washington, USA - FEB 6, 2013
Bottle #437/495 batch K10357:   Heavy pinkish hue, a little dirty and hazy, moderate fizzy head, lively carbonation, little lacing.   Raspberry aroma, faint, not artificial yet not terribly strong.   Smells real, just not "in your face" like New Glarus.   A bit more flavor than aroma, which is nice.   Feels like a pale wheat background with the aformentioned Raspberries.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate, a little spritzy.   Clean finish, soft Raspberries linger.   Not real bright, but not sour or tart.   Perhaps a little dry is all I would say.   Enjoyable, and very much reminds me of one of my summer favs as a youngster, Thomas Kemper Weizenberry.

Draft sample at IBGWF 2013. Poured a clear reddish color with an average off-white fizzy white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate tart berry and yeast aroma. Medium body with a sticky texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy tart berry flavor with a medium to heavy berry tart finish of moderate to long duration. Interesting beer.
