3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Silphium (2969) - East Lansing, Michigan, USA - NOV 20, 2005
On tap at Bells (Eccentric Cafe). Red body, thin off-white head. Light aroma of raspberry syrup, the subtlety likely due to the cold temperature this was served at. Raspberry syrup flavor, sweet but not overtly so, and a bit tart, with light bready malts and earthy hops becoming especially apparent in the aftertaste. Medium-bodied. A better-than-average Raspberry Ale though nothing unique.
