Bells Raspberry Wild One. Tap Maduro pre party. Hazy brownish red with a one finger light brown head, fading to a ring before long. Big lactic sour aroma with lots of raspberry skins, a little leather and wheat. Flavor follows, still full of raspberry notes. Dry wheaty finish, sourness peaked at a 6. Low carbonation with a light to medium body. Tasty. 8-4-8-3-16--3.9

From Savor NYC 2013. The aroma is raspberries, tart fruit, vinegar. The appearance is reddis pink, white head. The flavor is raspberry, other berries, tart cherry, vinegar. The finish is sour, vinegar, lingering fruity sweetness. Nicely done, overall.

At the Firestone Walker IBF 2013. A beautiful pour with a pink rosy foam head. Raspberry taste is there and not too sour. Can’t tell if it is a fruit beer or a sour but the berry is great.

On tap at FWIBF. Pours a deep red with no head. Aroma is raspberry and acetic centric. The taste is more raspberry with some acetic tones and a nice malt backbone that lets you know this is a beer/wild. The sour element doesn’t come into play until the finish which really works. This is a nice beer though the carb level could be upped.

On tap at Firestone Fest Nice raspberry aroma with light funk and acidity. Clear red color with small thin white head. No lacing or legs. Flavor is similar to aroma with nice tart raspberry flavor, balanced acidity and light funk. Mouthfeel is medium light with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall a very nice beer with good fruit without being too fruity. Good funk to match raspberry notes.

Backlogged rating: Pinkish hue with a lively head. The aroma has notes of raspberries and vinegar sourness with some biscuity malts and slight band-aid. The taste is rather straight forward sourness and fruity notes supported by light malt notes. A touch of barnyard as well. The mouth feel is lively and sharp, watery. Better than The Wild One but still seems simple and not complex like the better sour’d brews.

On draft at Bells Eccentric Cafe. Deep red raspberry color with pink frothy head, and lively bubbles visible in the glass. Aroma of sour raspberries, vinegar, and sweet fruit. Taste is very sour and tart, with slight sweetness. Mouthfeel is very crisp, lively and dry. Tasty and refreshing!

On tap @ the brewpub. Looks like cranberry juice, a pink-ish red color. Taste is very tart, sour raspberry. By no means poorly done, just not really my style.

Dark raspberry red, no head. Aroma of sweet/tart/sour raspberries with a touch of lactic acid. Flavor is tart and sour yet dark and candy sweet with some raspberry fruitiness and woody acidic sour yeast.
