This beer marks 100 bells beers for me so it’s a bit special to me. Nose is fragrant of raspberries and sour funk. Taste is similar to the regular wild one but the raspberries add to it making it only slightly better. Damn tasty. Apples and raspberries with the bretty funk thrown in. Finishes very clear and dry much like a wine but only more humid if that makes sense. Very well done. It makes me happy so screw the rest.

Draft to oversized snifter. Looks good; like a nice raspberry sour. Smells pretty good; tart and fruity. Tastes like it smells, with hints of perfume. Mouthfeel is good. Pretty good stuff, but I prefer the regular to the raspberry.

Draught. Bright, sweet and sour and fruity. Deep raspberry notes. Bright, bright red and cloudy. No head. Huge. Very sweet and very sour. Intense and beautiful. Immensely well balanced.

On tap at their cafe. Musty hay aroma, and cherry in the nose. Taste is mostly raspberry, just a bit sour and faitly bitter. Ruby red in color with minimal head.

Snifter on tap at the brewpub (Kalamazoo, MI). Sweet! Pours a rich ruby copper hue, darker with ruch reddish glowing edges, healthy haze, darker with a small frothy head atop. Laces small as a ring. Aromas are rich berry, a sufficient raspberry seedy aroma mixes with cherries, touches of gentle Balsamic, oak, and vinegar. Gentle lemon, lacto, and biscuits. Touch of toast, some more sourness, and raspberries. Initial is pleasant, medium bodied offering a lot of fruit, sour and seedy raspberries, sour cherries, touches of vinegar, lemons, lactic acid. Gentle oak, touches of toast and biscuits. Much improved over regular Wild One, offering more fruit, complexity, and a great drinkability. This doesn’t get into the medicinal realm like it’s counterpart. Middle offers more sourness growing, moderate, firm sourness and raspberries, cherries. Really pleasant. Finish is lingering sourness, berry, lacto qualities. Wonderful.

Ruby stained brown body. Fairly clear, no haze or sediment noticed. Scant malted milk colored head sits atop momentarily. The head soon recedes leaving a slight ring around the top. Pulpy raspberry and slight acetic bite greets the nose up front. The raspberry comes out a bit more with warmth. Subtle brown breadiness can be noticed but it takes some digging. Oak aroma is soft and lingers throughout. Very tart but not puckering. Tart raspberry flavor with slight sweetness. An appropriate amount of acetic vinegar is noted just beneath the raspberries. A lemon like sourness lingers on the back. Warm bready base barely detectable. Brett flavors nearly drown out by the bugs. Light to medium bodied beer. Prickly texture on the tongue, the beer is well carbonated. Dry finish. Lingering lemon soaked raspberry flavor. Great variation on Wild One. The raspberries enhance the tart flavor. Very enjoyable and quite easy to drink. One of my favorite Cafe exclusives

Maroonish body with no head. Little bit of raspberry but not a whole lot. Maybe the tartness from the raspberries is there, but I wouldn’t come out and say raspberry. Goes down smooth and drinks really well.

Sample at the brewpub. This brew pours a clear dark reddish color with a minimal white head that evaporates to an outer ring quickly. Spotty lacing on the glass. Tart raspberries and funky yeast in the nose. Medium body with a slightly sour raspberry character and notes of brett, wheat and malt. The finish is funky with a tart raspberry aftertaste. Pretty good all around.

Aroma:Smells of tart raspberries and a little brett. There is a slight buttery note. Appearance:It’s a dark ruby color with  very little head. Taste:The tart raspberry flavor dominates the foretaste. It fades slowly and turns more funky into the aftertaste. Palate:This beer has a light to medium body with a fair amount of tart astringency. Overall:This beer is a lot like the base beer, with a little extra fruity tartness and a little less funk.

On tap. Somewhat pinkish head vanishes quickly. Has a great nose of raspberries and a sniff of the sour follows- great smell. The tartness covers much of the desired sour, making it smoother, but not as quenching. Slightly less pleasing than the original.
