Pours a light red with creamy white head. Aromas of sweet strawberries and citrus. Nice sweet malty flavours with a pine-forward hoppiness. Very enjoyable.

On tap for the Bell’s beer dinner at Grange in Ann Arbor. An amber beer with a white head. Floral and citrus hop aroma. Flavor is also strong on fresh floral and citrus hops with a nice bitterness. Due to the same hops, this was described as being similar to Two Hearted, and that’s quite accurate. Really a great beer; it especially stood out when paired with the cheese at the dinner.

On tap. Pours a brilliant copper/amber/crimson with a fairly substantial khaki head that leaves some intricate lacing. Nose involves some light floral and pine hop notes, toasted malts, and touches of berry-fruit notes. Fairly bitter with some sweetness to balance. Lighter bodied, crisp, vibrant, with a lengthy clean bitterness on the end. Really nice brew, great with pub fare and easy drinking.

Sampled from the tap at the brewpub. Pours a clear amber with a tan head that dissipates completely. Aroma has a nice grassy hop with a bit of grapefruit and backing grain. Flavor starts with grassy hops but finishes with earthy grain and grapefruit peel.

Draft to taster at Bell’s. Looks solid; a transparent copperish-orange with white lacing. Smells and tastes solid too; sweet and pint. Average on the palate. A decent brew.

Draft at Eccentric Cafe. Poured clear reddish copper color with an average creamy off-white head that mostly lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate to heavy resin hop and toasted malt aroma. Medium to full body with a slick texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy bitter flavor with a medium to heavy bittersweet finish of moderate to long duration. The beer is a standout brew for style.

On tap at the cafe. Red pour, some head. Smells spicey and hoppy like an ESB should. Flavor is big, a bit piney and malty. Dry finish. I dug it, though is definitely unlike most other ESBs Ive had.
