Draft at the brewery. Pours a bright clear amber color with a nice thick white head that lingered. Very piney hop aroma with some flowers, tropical fruit and caramel malt. Taste is great. Fresh pine and tropical fruit taste, great caramel malt backbone. Awesome IPA. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tap sampler, Bell’s Eccentric Café, 31/viii/13. Love the insinuation of red IPA = hopped up Irish red ale = IRA, exploding with hops. Juicy round lemonade malts meet leafy elegant c-hops (grapefruit and pine). Slightly dry and metallic mf.

On draft at Sidetrack. Pours a beautiful ruby color, minimal head, gorgeous lace. The aroma is incredibly citrusy with some hints of malt, pine, and a delectable bit of toffee or caramel. The taste is very citrusy. It fades into a little of the pineyness, and then finishes a bit dry, just as I'd like. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap. Pours a gorgeous deep amber-ruby with a thick creamy khaki head that leaves a nice wall of intricate lace behind. Nose involves familiar hop notes of pine and grapefruit reminiscent of Two Hearted (centennial) and healthy sweet caramel and toffee notes. Somewhat sweet, but much more bitter flavor. Medium-light body, oily, fairly active, with a long piney bitter finish. An excellent brew, as I expected it would be. Just a great marriage of hop qualities and "red" ale malt. Very enjoyable, and I’m so happy I was in the right place at the right time.

Tap. Deep amber. Light on the crystal malt but plenty of big hops. Delicious. Very dry.

On tap at Bells Eccentric Cafe in Kalamazoo. Basically a red colored IPA. It may have marginally more malts than average, nonetheless, this is a hop forward beer with all of the hop aroma and flavor of a typical American IPA. The quality is not typical but rather clearly above average in virtually all respects. Recommended!
