3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Light hop aroma. Poured orange with a lasting white head. Taste was quite hopped with a yeasty edge that was a little metallic/freezer burn. Palate was kind of thick with a bitter bite.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
12oz bottle from ABC Wesley Chapel. Pours a hazy yellow-orange with a white head. Nose is some sweet malt, some light rye, and some light citrus. Flavor is similar with sweet malt, some mild rye, and some light citrus. Nice almost sessionable rye cream ale-ish thing.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
P: Cloudy golden orange body with loads of specks and floaters. A whipped creamy off white head that hangs out for a good while.
S: Orange peel and oil, toasted rye, lemon zest, faint peaches, pineapple and earthy notes.
T/M: Spiced orange, toasted rye, sweet malt, honey, and herbal tea. Clean zesty body that leave the palate subtly dry and lingers bitter orange peel and spice.
O: Refreshing and easy drinking porch beer. The hop and malt profile are clean and simple yet play well together. A seasonal ale that doesn’t break the bank.

12oz bottle pours a slightly hazy straw gold with some lacing white head. Nose is grass, hay, cracker, lemon candy. Flavor is OK, a little trashy, some grass, some straw, a little lemon, some bread. Medium, dry, lightly bitter finish.

3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
This pours a hazy bronze-golden color with an off-white head that leaves some scattered lacing. This smells a bit floral, with wheat and citrus. Springy flavors of earth, wheat, and bitter citrus rind. Dry, spicy, finish. Can’t say there’s a ton of rye but some shows in the back end of this. This packs more of a punch (in a good way) than the aroma suggests. Not making the comparison, but you can see the Two Hearted influence. It seems like a cross between an IPA and American Wheat. Regardless, this is quite good and refreshing. I now regret only grabbing one 12 ounce single.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
12oz. bottle. Aroma of citric hop, pale, grainy malt and spicy, earthy rye, with notes of grapefruit, biscuit and faint pine. Light-medium hazy golden color (as advertised), with a billowing, fluffy head that lasts and gobs of thick lacing. Flavor profile is bitter, hoppy, spicy and grainy, with plenty of citrus and resin character throughout, finishing very dry and with a fairly simple grainy malt profile, apart from the rye overtones, not much sweetness or yeast fruitiness here to provide balance. Highly effervescent and sharp on the palate, dry and almost airy in feel with a light-medium body. Knowing that this is an early Bell’s recipe is not much of a surprise as their other offerings tend to be a bit more well-rounded. Six bottles of this may be too much.

3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Impressive hop bitterness in both aroma and flavor. Lots of citrus, bread and yeast. Definitely feels like a cross between a wheat and an IPA, but the wheat isn’t overpowering. Very refreshing warm weather beer.
