Pours cloudy golden with a large white head, spotty lacing. Aroma is mostly floral hops, slightly spicy rye notes. Taste is a balance of spicy rye and floral/herbal hops, quick finish. Not bad, but wouldn’t buy it again.

12oz bottle 1/11/14 (Trader Joe’s Naperville)-40° in Shaker-Pours a slightly hazy golden with a nice white head. Aroma of rye, malt, and hops. Taste of hops, rye, and malt. This medium bodied brew is well balanced and goes down quite easy.

Pours a dark golden with a medium white head. Aroma is hoppy with biscuit notes. Flavor is bready with hints of grain, citrus and grassy hops, and peppery notes. Medium body with medium carbonation. Pretty good.

Wonderful beer. Rye is strong with this one. Apricot nose. Finish leaves a bit to be desired, but awesome session brew.

From a 12 oz bottle shared at Ryan’s tasting. Pours a clear gold with an off white head. Fruity hop nose. Flavors of biscuit, citrus and white toast. Crisp bitter finish.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a hazed golden with a medium white head. Aroma of bright citrus and hoppy notes, some mild pine and resin, mild earthiness, touches of earth and rye malt. Flavor is mostly citrus and pine hops with mild sweet malt notes. Touches of spice, earth, and umami from the rye malt. Medium bodied, lively carbonation, finishes mildly bitter. This is quite a nice little rye pale ale from Bell’s.

Pours clear golden with a off-white good amount of head. Aroma is citrus and hops. Tasted citrus upfront with a piney spicy dryness following. The mouth feel is thinner. Overall a very drinkable beer.
