Draft at Maduro, pre-GTMW. I’m a sucker for fruit beers. This is a fun one and at nearly 8%, one that can cause trouble. Big raspberry nose and taste. Smooth, different and good. Some Belgian spice and malt comes through.

Sampled at 2013 MBG Summer Festival. Aroma is mostly raspberry with a hint of spicy yeast. Taste is moderately sweet. Lots of fizzy raspberry, like sparkling raspberry wine I guess. Spicy yeast finish, very dry. Not bad but definitely not my kinda beer.

Subtle flavors of fruit, green peppercorns, and a slight dryness and complexity from the Belgian yeast. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap: The aroma consists of moderate raspberry, other fruits, a hint of lemon, and a touch of Belgian yeast. It pours and transparent amber with a small white head. The flavor starts with a quick dose of raspberry and other fruits. It finishes with some Belgian yeast, light spice, and some faint grass. It’s light-medium bodied with light-moderate carbonation.

Sample at Eccentric. Pour is a reddish orange with a small head and aromas of fruit. Flavor is very fruity with a decent amount of booze to it.

Draft to taster at Eccentric Cafe. Looks solid; a mostly transparent orange with white head that dissipates into lacing fairly quickly. Smells doughy and spicy. Tastes like it smells, only better, with some Belgian yeast notes. Not getting much raspberry though. Solid on the palate with a slightly tart mouthfeel. Decent beer.

At the Eccentric Cafe. Pours amber with a pinkish tint. Nose involves dusty yeast and plenty of citrus. Fairly sweet, lightly tart, and quite bitter. Well carbed, medium body, with a nice pucker factor on the end along with a dry, dusty bitterness. Pretty good stuff.

On tap at Bells. Very nice aroma of raspberries, with a little bit of bubblegum. Pours a somewhat reddish copper in color.. Taste is almost all raspberry. Pretty good beer, finish is less dry than I expected. Not bad.
