Draft at Maduro, pre-GTMW. I’m a sucker for fruit beers. This is a fun one and at nearly 8%, one that can cause trouble. Big raspberry nose and taste. Smooth, different and good. Some Belgian spice and malt comes through.

At the Eccentric Cafe. Pours amber with a pinkish tint. Nose involves dusty yeast and plenty of citrus. Fairly sweet, lightly tart, and quite bitter. Well carbed, medium body, with a nice pucker factor on the end along with a dry, dusty bitterness. Pretty good stuff.

Tap at Maduro pre-GTMW party 2013. Filtered copper-orange body, big foamy off-white head. Very mellow, delicate beer. Light cloudy raspberry Wit maybe, but has some interesting spicy yeast tones. Not unlike Rubeaus, with lots of real raspberry flavor. Comes off quite light to me after the BB 9000 I had before it. Clearly has some depth though. An OK beverage, but not such a phenomenal beer.

Draft pour at GTMW 2013. Pours a hazed amber with a small white head. Once again, my late-festival notes are shaky. "Good fruited Belgian." Thanks for that insight. Sweet malts, with the raspberry not as prominent as I’d expected. Dry and malty, with medium carbonation and a medium-level mouthfeel. Good beer, fun concept.

GABF 2013. Pours a hazy orange appearance with a light tan head. Spritzy, raspberry, blackberry, lemon, honey aroma. Well carbonated. Juicy berry, raspberry, a bit spicy hoppy flavor. Super easy to drink. Fun beer.

Sample at GABF. Smell is wheat with lite mixed berry. Frutiy blueberry (prominent) with other mixed berry. Sweet but not at all cloying. Light and crisp malty finish.

Taster @ Decatur Beer Fest. Bright golden pour with a pinkish hue. Off white head. Aroma had nice notes of raspberry fruit with bits of yeast in the back end. Lively mouthfeel with almost prickly carbonation. Slightly sweet and tart finish. Refreshing.

On tap: The aroma consists of moderate raspberry, other fruits, a hint of lemon, and a touch of Belgian yeast. It pours and transparent amber with a small white head. The flavor starts with a quick dose of raspberry and other fruits. It finishes with some Belgian yeast, light spice, and some faint grass. It’s light-medium bodied with light-moderate carbonation.
