Sweeter and smoother than Kalamazoo Stout. A beer for special winter occasions. Great with chocolate desserts. Available October-March.

Keg @ McGrady’s. Deep brown pour with a tan head. Burnt brown sugar nose, caramel sweets. A bit of earth, dark chocolate. Rich malty sweet flavors. More dark chocolate, brown sugar. Cake icing. Hints of licorice. Low bitterness. Smooth, supple. Overall, a nice dessert beer.

Pours a dark brown with cola colored glints around the bottom edges. Huge frothy, root beer colored head. Brewed coffee and a little smoke on the nose. Thicker, slightly creamy mouthfeel and finishing with some astringency. Caramelized brown sugar, prune, smoke, coffee, and finishing with an ashiness.

12oz to snifter. Sweet malty chocolate aroma. Dark with a thin lasting brown ring. Malt lovers dream. Great balance of sweet and roasty.

Pours a clear dark brown, almost black with ruby edges. Aromas of dry cocoa powder, milk duds, roast. Some coffe. Taste is chalky milkshake friends bring the boys to the yard.

I could teach you, but I’d have to charge.

Finish is indeed creamy, smooth, pretty rich. I like this, unfortunately.

Tap. Black stout color. Tan head. Creamy with a bit of coffee. Warming with a nice finish . Not super complex. Sweeter than other stouts. It’s not amazing, but hit the spot.

Bottle to snifter, dark black brown body with a creamy thick khaki head that recedes rather quickly. Nose is subtle roasted malt, milk chocolate, and a bit of coffee. Taste is a smooth front of body that blooms into a very malty body. medium roasted flavors, some dark chocolate, and some light coffee in the finish. Creamy full body.

Tasted from bottle. Pours black with light khacki head that quickly fades. Good lacing. Strong coffee and chocolate aroma. Big time dry roasted malt taste. Large coffee and chocolate notes. Medium to full bodied. Dry mild bitter finish. Not near as heavy as kalamazoo stout and in my opinion not as good. Still a pretty dang good beer overall though. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
