Sweeter and smoother than Kalamazoo Stout. A beer for special winter occasions. Great with chocolate desserts. Available October-March.

Pours a dark black with a brownish kahki head. A mild chocolate and sugar arome. The flavor is a very mild stout with light malts and hints of chocolate while being exceptionally smooth. It has a mild roasted nut aftertaste. Pleasant.

Pours a dark, dark brown with a small tan head that vanished quickly. Pleasant chocolate and molasses aroma. Great taste of chocolate and malt with a bit of coffee. Incredible creamy, smooth finish makes this one of my favorites.

From 12oz Botte, #7186. Pours a deep roasted brown color with a healthy layer of malt ball colored head. A wave of vanilla wafer cookie is the first aroma sensation to greet my nose, followed by some milk and oreo cookie, complete with the white sugar goodness thats sandwiched between the light chocolate layers. The flavor delivers exactly what the name promises, sending a splash of the creamy treat over my tongue. Plenty of light toasted malt characters are whipped together in a tasty froth thats a bit more interesting and lip smacking than the aroma. This is almost the way I would envision an unsweet símore could taste, but with a smidgen of lightly roasted coffee at the finish. Lovely after dinner treat.

Smooth and creamy texture. Very light coffee, chocolate and toffee flavors. Roasty malt finish. This would be great as a winter desert beer.

Bottle. Pours a very dark brown with a thick, creamy head. Some dark fruits in the aroma (plum maybe), with a good bit of molasses and malt. Flavor is mix of molasses, malt, coffe and a little chocolate thrown in. Nice mouthfeel. Definitely sweet and very drinkable.

(Bottle via trade with BBB63, thanks Mike!) About 1/2" of creamy biege head sits on a black coffee-colored body. Head recedes to about 1/8" and stays. Aroma of red wine, cherries, plums, bakers chocolate and coffee. Mouthfeel soft, creamy, slightly oily, lightly tingly. No lacing. Flavor is a union of cherry and chocolate, coffee and grape. Finishes with coffee and cream and also a sweet and sour quality. Aftertaste of bakers chocolate. A feast for the senses.

Batch # 7250. Wasnít too impressed with this one. The aroma was week. The flavor was average. It had a muddy brown apperance. Bells is a good brewery but came up short on this one.

Big thanks to Eric (Indra) for getting this one for me! Thanks! Pours out very dark, like oil. Smells sweet and full of coffee and chocolate. Taste is sweet, and very good. Almost like a session version of Expedition Stout. Interesting beer, and as always, a treat to get a new Bells beer. Very nice one.

Completely black and opaque with large dark tan head. aroma is chocolate, coffee, white chocolate, roasted malt, some of that sour milk aroma. mouthfeel is thinner and flatter than it looked like it would be, and flavor is flat coffee, and lactic acidy, with some dark chocoalte and milk chocolate.
