4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle. Very nice chocolate aroma here. Also seems to be a touch or a roasty, caramel. Very nice and thick on the palate. Hs a really creamy, chocolate flavor. I also get a little bit of coffee and caramel. Has a little tan colored head, with a little bite of lace on the glass. A very nice cream stout. I was very impressed with my first Bellís beer.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
12oz - batch 7143 (November 15, 2005) - Aroma is brunt coffee and chocolate malt. Also wet wheat, hazelnut, and a touch of hops. Pours solid black with a small brown head and great lacing. Flavor matches aroma with a bit more roastiness. Palate is creamy, smooth, and a little bitter. As always, thanks to Bellís for making winter tolerable.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Pours a dark black with a thin white head. The aroma is a little coffee with a bit of chocolate. The taste is nicely balanced between coffee and chocolate malts, with a creamy sweet finish. Not too bad for a sweet stout style.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Batch #6657. The sweet stout pours a deep black color from a 12oz bottle. Small sized white foamy head. Aroma is chocolate and coffee with hints of vanilla. A medium to full bodied stout. Malts are chocolate and coffee. Lots of coffee flavors in amongst all that chocolate, Very smooth taste, nearly creamy even. Fairly sweet, the only bitterness is from the coffee. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is crisp and dry. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours black with a small tan head that quickly went away, nice sweet milk/dark chocolate taste, slight roastiness, slight coffee, not too sweet though, not a bad beer but didnít think it was awesome.

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Dark opaque brown with a really nice tall tan head. Sweet chocolate and coffee aromas gently waft up from the glass. There is almost a melted ice cream feel to this in the aroma and also the taste. Itís very creamy (though not as creamy as the name would lead you to beleive). There is virtually no bitterness or hops to this beer. I m almost at a loss to describe this further. Itís full and tasty, but at the same time nearly devoid of anything signifigant or overpowering. As acertain said, itís well balanced - neither sweet nor bitter. Donít get me wrong, itís very good and seems fitting for itís name.

3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
What an aroma! Deep coffee with hints of chocolate. Taste is (surprise) of coffee, but not as deep as the smell would lead you to believe. Well balanced; neither sweet nor bitter.

4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
UPDATED: JAN 27, 2007 Batch 7143. Pours black with a redish tint and medium sized tan head. Aroma is sweet chocolate, milk, coffee, and lots of roastedness. The flavor is very rich and roasted, chocolate and lactose are balanced by a nice, dark and bitter burnt. The mouthfeel is smooth and creamy.
Batch 7808 Black body with thick, creamy tan head. The aroma is a delicate blend of milk chocolate, molases, roast and roast. The flavor is dry and roasty, lots of milk chocolate, brown sugar, coffee. The medium body has the Bells signature mouthfeel, soft, smooth and creamy with a soft natural carbonation. Another amazing stout from Bells. Larry can do no wrong when it comes to the dark stuff.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
(draft) A nice roasty chocolate flavor. The extra alcohol, as compared to similar stouts, seemed unnecessary to me, and annoyed me a little. A beer this good doesnít need the alcohol gimmick.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
12 oz bottle. Bottle #7143(November 15th 2005). Dull aroma, chocolates, coffee, and sweets. Itís just barely coming through with all that though. Dark black with a red hue. Tastes of iced coffee, dark chocolate(the usual stout flavors.) Only this is just a bit sweeter. Full-bodied, but a little thinner than I was expecting. I was expecting huge creaminess, afterall, just look at the name. The alcohol content is hard to detect, which I like. Nothing worse than a beer thats more like a hard liqour. Overall, a decent brew from the boys at Bells.
