3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
opaque black with a medium tan head. Almost smells like one of those chai things you can buy at Dunkin Donuts. Has a definate earthy aroma in my opinion. Nothing discernable to start, the middle starts to flavor chocolate. Finish is slightly hoppy with choco-hints. A decent offering.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Well, I basically tasted this side by side with the Kalamazoo and I noticed that this one was a little thicker and roastier. Everything else is pretty much the same. I did not appreciate more sweetness in this one though per the description on here

4.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Huge brown head with staying power. Opaque to extremely dark brown beer. Nice sweetish aroma of dark chocolate (not roasted barley). Malty as all hell but balanced by roasted malt and hops bitterness. Yes some coffee flavors too. I like it better than the Kalamazoo.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Thick brown creamy head. Very dark brown body. Aroma has a rich chocolate coffee feel... but its light. Big flavor. Very smooth. A rich chocolate taste with some sweet licorice, raspberry, and bitter tobacco. Nice bitter coffee finish that hangs around a while.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Opaque ebony body with a medium brown foamy head. Aroma of chocolate and sweet roasted mocha. Creamy and medium-bodied. When I bought this, I thought that it would be too malty, as they use ten different kinds of malt, but it’s actually very well balanced. Not as good as the Java Stout, but definitely delicious nonetheless.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Light nose - roasted coffee. Dark dark brown-black color and a foamy tan head that disappates. Smooth sweet syrupy malt initially with some licorice notes, becomes bitter - like black coffee that lingers on your teeth after the swallow. Fairly simple profile, but a good balance and enjoyable overall.

4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Nice sweet chocolate and cantelope aroma with some roasted malts. Very thick black color with a clingy, foam head. Sweet cantelope flavors through-out with some chocolate in the beginning and a dark roasted coffee finish. Excellant stout.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Opaque colored, spare light brown head. Inense coffee nose, licorice also. Very heavy roasted, almost burnt malt flavor, licorice and tabacco too. Nice.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a dark brown/black with thin, evaporating head. Aroma is sweet, but nothing too noticeable. Flavor has lots of sweet cream to it, along with some malt and a little chocolate. Oddly enough, some bitterness as well. Good, but not great.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Dark with no head. Aroma is of dark chocolate. Flavour is full creamy, roasted and malty. A bit of fruit and a well malted finish.
