4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Tasted at the Great Madison St. Stout Off, from a 12 oz bottle into a pint glass. Loved the fresh cream aroma off this and this one is smooth and sweet and flat out one of the best tasting beers Ive ever had. Light brown bubbling head on a pitch black body. This one is close to perfect for me.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Iíve had better batches of this beer, but this is the one Iím rating so, here goes. Seems a bit oxidized and overly harsh. Not nearly as smooth as youíd think it should be. I prefer expy or Kalamazoo to this one. Maybe its sat on the shelf for a while..not sure.

First, I have not been a fan of Stoutís in general. But this is the CREAM of the crop. A perfect balance of sweet & bitter (bitter is better) Hint of chocolate, mocha ...nice after taste Chicago in the winter Yah

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle, from Duane, Thanx! Pours a rich dark brown with thick creamy, huge, tan head. I have let this warm a bit, as the head resides, it leaves nice lacing. The aroma is sweet, chocolate, roasted dessert like. The first taste is full of chocolate and a good bit of bitter, like Belgian dark chocolate. There is a bite from the carbonation, but this pleasant kick helps blend the bitter and sweet. It is almost like a chocolate mousse cake. I loved this.

Pours near opaque with a bit of carbonation. Nice mouthfeel. Great thick head and a great roastiness to boot. Canít wait to try the regular stout as well.

3.5 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle. brentfeesh sent this one in a trade. Kudos again Brent! Pours as black as my old girlfriendís heart. Minimal head that dissipates to a thin layer of dark amber bubbles. Nose is awesome... just like walking into a real coffee shop (not Starbucks) that has 100 year old wooden walls and the old aromas have buried themselves in their surroundings and yet they still mesh with the new aromas from the freshly brewed coffees and teas of today and create a great atmosphere.... Thatís the nose of this beer. Sweet and malty and cocoa and vanilla, and .... Iím missing something, but the aroma rocks. Body is creamy and smooth with slight and fizzy carbonation. The taste is sweet with a slight twang that rides down the throat with the heavy espresso flavor... not perfect, but not bad. Not sure what that twang is, and it doesnít ruin the brew, but it does keep from being top-notch in my book. Not bad stuff, but doesnít finish as well as dry or imperial stouts. Still a nice beer.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
A pitch black beer with a dark brown head. The aroma is sweet with notes of coffee and chocolate. The flavor is sweet with notes of alcohol and coffee, but some sour carpet notes in the aftertaste.

Creamy, creamy, creamy...No wait, that would be Bells Triple Cream Stout. Absolutely one of my favorites with a mocha aftertaste that goes on and on and on...
